1995 Mercedes-Benz SL600 AMG 6.0

The Sl600 6.0 AMG is a very rare offering from AMG. The M120 design left very little for tuners to modify without having to do extensive work to the bottom end. This car received AMG’s updated air intakes, ECU mapping and a few other tricks as well as their body kit and suspension upgrades. AMG’s modifications increased horsepower M120 434.5HP compared to 389HP found in the USA cars. Being that these cars are all tuner cars, each car received different upgrades.

This car received extended wood kit and AMG embossed door sills. As a great original example, the original engine break-in procedure sticker remains on the car. The modifications were not only limited to the interior and engine, but the exterior and suspension received attention from the tuner company as well. The car was lowered and received the iconic AMG OZ 17” “Aero 1” 3-piece wheels as well as a functional body kit to help reduce the already aerodynamic R129s drag coefficient.

After Curated received the car, it headed to marque experts; Renntech for a mechanical overhaul where the car had numerous common faults addressed. These include the throttle body’s throttle body harnesses, replaced steering box, replaced suspension accumulators, addressed other leaks, replaced MAF harness, replaced top cylinders and hydraulics, all filters and fluids, and numerous other items. In total $18,000 was dedicated to recent service, the result: a modern classic ready for any road trip.
