The 1994 Lamborghini Diablo SE30, Chassis Number RLA12088, is a highly significant example of Lamborghini's limited-edition supercar heritage. Finished in Argento Titanio and originally delivered to Lamborghini Canada on October 28, 1994, this particular car is #88 of just 150 Diablo SE30 models ever produced. It is one of only five SE30s allocated for the Canadian market.

The SE30 was introduced to commemorate Lamborghini’s 30th anniversary and was designed to be a lighter, more track-focused version of the Diablo. It offered a substantial performance boost over the standard model, with its 5.7-liter V12 producing 525 horsepower, thanks to a tuned fuel system, a free-flowing exhaust, and magnesium intake manifolds. This power increase allowed the SE30 to achieve remarkable speed and agility, matching up with rivals like the Ferrari F40 and Jaguar XJ220.

Lamborghini made several weight-saving adjustments to the SE30, emphasizing its track-oriented nature. Plexiglass windows replaced the standard power glass, while fixed racing-style sliding window vents gave the car a raw, motorsport feel. Luxury amenities such as air conditioning, a stereo, and power steering were removed to reduce weight further. Inside, carbon fiber bucket seats with four-point harnesses replaced the traditional seats, reinforcing the car's race-bred character.

Externally, the SE30 featured several unique design elements that distinguished it from the base Diablo. A more aggressive front section, integrated brake cooling ducts, a deeper spoiler, and a larger rear wing contributed to both its visual appeal and aerodynamic performance. Special magnesium alloy wheels and SE30 badging added further exclusivity, while the iconic metallic purple paint was standard on most SE30 models (though other colors like this Argento Titanio finish could be requested).

This Diablo SE30, having spent its life in Canada and now with 8875 kilometers, is a rare collector’s item. It represents the height of Lamborghini’s 1990s engineering and design, combining brutal performance with rare exclusivity. As part of the lineage that includes the Miura and Countach, the SE30 embodies Lamborghini’s supercar legacy during a pivotal time in the company’s history.
