More details
2001 Lamborghini Diablo 6.0 SE #24 finished in Oro Elios (gold) over brown perforated leather interior. Extremely rare one of only fourty-two Diablo 6.0 SE’s ever produced, and one of only twenty finished in Oro Elios.
Arguably the best Diablo in existence based on rarity, popularity, its mileage and provenance. The Lamborghini factory in Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy kept one Diablo for their museum and it was one of the Oro Elios 6.0 SE cars.
The Diablo SE was the last of the series and was done in only two colors, “Marrone Eklipsis” (brown metallic) representing sunset and, our color, “Oro Elios” (gold metallic) which represents sunrise. The SE only deviates from previous models with the addition of new magnesium intake manifold, special upholstery treatment, Lamborghini badges brake calipers, navigation system software and more carbon fiber trim in the cockpit.
As the SE is the final version of the Diablo, they also have the distinction of being the most luxurious iteration of the model. Everything about the SE speaks to how special the car is, the limited production numbers, use of only two colors, use of cast gold intake manifolds and valve covers separates the SE from standard 6.0 Diablos. In fact, gold is used throughout the car as it is present in the carbon fiber weave used in the cockpit, along the running boards and around the headlamps making a very distinctive visual impact.
Comfort in enhanced by an electric seat adjustment as well as by the state-of-the-art Alpine audio system integrating a pan-European navigation system. The same integrated system was available for the U.S. market.
The gear lever knob and grid are made of titanium, a very advanced material. The intake manifolds and the cylinder-head covers have been made in magnesium in order to emphasize the technological aspect of the engine and to save weight, whereas the brake calipers are now customized with the Lamborghini logo.
This incredible Diablo SE (#12851) has only 485 miles (780KMs) currently on the odometer. Powered by the massive Lamborghini 6.0L V12 engine producing 550 BHP. All that power goes to the drive through a 5-speed manual transmission with sport gear shifting exclusive to the SE.
This Oro Elios Diablo is arguably the best in existence. Based purely on rarity, popularity, its mileage and provenance. We have spent years trying to find a USA based Gold car for collectors and believe there are 7-8 in the U.S. which no one would sell.
Additionally, this is probably the best condition Diablo we have ever seen. The undercarriage is still new, the entire car looks as if no one ever drove it.
