More details
The Lamborghini Diablo SV, unveiled at the 1995 Geneva Auto Show, revived the legendary "Super Veloce" moniker from the Miura SV, blending nostalgic heritage with cutting-edge performance. The SV, standing for "Super Veloce" or "Super Fast," epitomizes Lamborghini's commitment to exhilarating speed and design excellence.
Unlike its all-wheel-drive sibling, the Diablo 6.0 VT, the Diablo SV is rear-wheel drive, emphasizing raw driving dynamics. The SV's power output was boosted from the original Diablo's 485 BHP to an impressive 510 BHP, requiring a skilled hand to tame its power. This increase in horsepower ensures a thrilling and engaging driving experience, propelling the Diablo SV from 0 to 60 mph in just 4 seconds and achieving a top speed of over 200 mph.
To maintain stability at high speeds, Lamborghini equipped the Diablo SV with a large adjustable rear wing, available in either a color-matched finish or raw carbon fiber. Some models even came without the rear wing, providing a sleeker look. The SV also received subtle yet impactful cosmetic updates, including black tail lamp surrounds and repositioned rear fog and reverse lamps. The addition of extra front brake cooling ducts and the distinctive double vent engine lid, reminiscent of the SE30 JOTA models, enhanced both performance and aesthetics.
Inside, the Diablo SV offers a driver-centric cockpit with premium materials and advanced instrumentation. The leather-clad seats, ergonomic controls, and advanced climate control system ensure comfort and luxury, even at high speeds. The combination of raw power and refined craftsmanship makes the SV a unique supercar, delivering both performance and comfort.
An unparalleled Diablo SV (#2958) example, it is complete with its original books, tools and accessories from new. Accompanied by delivery day photos, dealer temporary tag, 1998 purchase agreement and dealer brochures. This cherished Diablo example is one of the best examples left in the world today.
