CURATED announces the “The Benchmark Miura SV” – considered by experts to be one of the best, unrestored Miura SV examples in the world.

CURATED is delighted to present a unique, museum quality Lamborghini Miura SV. An unparalleled example, Lamborghini Miura SV Chassis #4952 is unrestored and incredibly preserved, finished in its original Rosso paint and complete interior from new.

An automotive time capsule, this Benchmark Lamborghini Miura SV has covered just over 10,000 miles since it arrived in New York on November, 1972. Delivered by Achili Motors, the Lamborghini concessionaire, to Mr. Johnson, who serviced the car regularly through the 1980s, documenting its low mileage and originality.

The car was sold briefly to Ferrari collector Stan Zagorski, before being sold to its last owner. As part of Chassis #4952 extensive history and records, in 2001 the car was inspected by Robert DeMars, expert appraiser, who described the car as, “A beauty of a “Survivor” and surprisingly original, this very rare Miura SV Split Sump model is the rarest of the rare with extremely low miles… showing careful preservation a car can be original just once in its lifetime, this outstanding “Time Capsule” original is surely of the finest to survive.” Since 2001 the car was rarely shown, carefully tucked away and preserved for the next 19 years. Servicing and mechanical repairs were completed by the esteemed Paul Russell, yet the car was rarely driven.

Its original acrylic paint shows signs of perfect aging and is accented by its complete original interior. The perfect amount of patina covers every surface, switch and dial. The outstanding cosmetics are accompanied by the cars original Pirelli CN12 “Tube Type” tires (strictly for showing,) its original windshield “In Rodaggio” warranty sticker, books, tools and extensive records and correspondence from 1972 until today.

For years, Chassis #4952 was described by Joe Sackey, expert and author of the “Miura Bible,” as the most original and preserved Miura SV on the planet. This exceptional and irreplaceable Lamborghini Miura SV will undergo a Polo Storico certification at Curated and enter into preservation concours events very soon!
