The 40th Anniversary Edition model, and features carbon-fiber body panels, steel roof,
aluminum scissor doors, xenon headlights, a pantograph single wiper, carbon-fiber door and pillar
trim, and rear intakes that deploy automatically when extra cooling is necessary.
In 2003, Lamborghini continued the tradition of marking important anniversaries dating tp the 25th
Anniversary Countach and 30th anniversary Diablo SE by commemorating its 40th anniversary with the
introduction of the 40th Anniversary Edition Murcielago with markets limited to Europe, Japan and
the United States.
With production limited to 50 units, the cars have enhancements over standard Murcielagos including
the special three layer pearl effect Verde Artemis (jade green) body color, enhanced use of carbon
fiber exterior styling, updated wheels, revised exhaust system and a special number plaque on the
inside of the rear window.
Likewise, the interior received a unique leather trim in stylish grey and white.
Additionally, the grey anthracite colored wheels give the car a more aggressive look
complimenting the silver-grey brake calipers and newly designed central wheel logos which are much
more like the recognizable Lamborghini fighting bull badge.
The interior also received a newly designed asymmetrical design while the driver’s side is equipped
with Grigio Syrius (dark grey) perforated leather and smooth black leather on the passenger side.
The interior is also complimented with 40th Anniversary logo floor mats, an Alpine radio
incorporated CD player and some also feature satellite navigation systems.
40th Anniversary Murcielagos are also accompanied by special personalized certificate and equipped
with an exclusive signed carbon fiber suitcase in the luggage compartment.
This 2003 Lamborghini Murcielago 40th Anniversary Edition (#0840) shows only 7,200 original. miles,
was #4 of 50 produced, and comes with 18” multi-piece wheels, carbon fiber exterior trim, xenon
headlights, Tubi exhaust, factory books and service records.
